Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc. is the leading residential mortgage subservicing company in the United States. The company is actively looking for a Senior Vice President/General Counsel, reporting to the President and CEO.

Dovenmuehle is privately-held and represents over 200 financial institutions throughout the United States, and has a combined residential subservicing portfolio of over $100 billion under management. The company is experiencing significant growth and is looking for a very talented senior, and experienced professional.

Primary Duties: Serves as the company’s Chief Legal Officer. Management of staff responsible for vendor contracts, servicing agreements, litigation, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. Works with Senior and Department Management to implement or renew policies and procedures and guard against risks. Selects (with the concurrence of Senior Management), directs, monitors and reviews the performance of the company’s outside counsel.

Requirements: Juris Doctor degree; 10 plus years as corporate counsel, familiar with real estate transaction and regulatory requirements, litigation, and/or consumer finance legal matters; knowledge of Federal and State mortgage banking laws very helpful.
