Role: Direct and coordinate the application, processing, closing and funding activities within the loan operations area, ensuring an excellent member and internal customer experience while maintaining compliance with credit union lending policy. Design and implement processes and procedures within retail, call center, internet, and business lending delivery channels to acquire applications and fulfill members’ loan requests.
Manage the loan documentation process and related staff activities to ensure consistent quality, document completion, and collateral lien perfection (i.e. vehicle title lien registration, UCC filings, home equity deeds of trust, etc.)
Manage loan origination system functionality, product setup, workflows, and outputs. Manage loan documentation preparation software and E-signature applications, including business processes and record retention responsibilities.
Supports production of consumer, credit card, small business, and commercial loans. Corollary involvement in business processes in the mortgage lending business unit.
Coordinate all operational risk decisions with the credit union’s risk management staff, specifically the A. V. P. of Credit Risk Management. Implement regulatory compliance requirements and ensure continuing business processes are congruent with compliance and risk management goals.
Coordinate, create and distribute loan production reports to stakeholders in the organization.
Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
A candidate’s credit history is one factor in Elevations Credit Union determining qualification for employment. Since credit records are one component of Elevations Credit Union’s hiring process, candidates will not be disqualified solely based on their previous credit history. 30% Directs and monitors loan processing operations insure that the credit union meets established goals and objectives with respect to lending. Monitors product delivery, compliance, and quality and takes action to resolve problems. 10% Participates in establishment of annual department budget and monitors performance to standards throughout the year. 15% Directs, motivates, hires and disciplines loan personnel, administers performance evaluations and recommends appropriate personnel action. 15% Prepares department scheduling, periodic loan department updates, and periodic reports for Management. Prepares loan production reports. 10% Develops, proposes, gains acceptance for and implements lending procedures and business processes. Participates in activities related to new product development and marketing programs. Implements marketing campaigns and supports staff members working in all delivery channels to enable the achievement of loan goals. 10% As a member of the Management Team, assist in the formulation/execution of credit union policies, objectives and programs. Attends scheduled management meetings. 10% Manages loan origination system and all related systems applicable to the lending processes.
Evaluates and participates in decisions regarding system selections, changes, and activities.
